Strømsø has a low average income, a high share of minorities and a high unemployment rate. But it is in Strømsø’s distinctive character we can find the future of Norway. At its core, it is filled with niches. It’s a borough for the few, the alienated, the marginalized. It’s odd jobs, independent shops, diversity in ethnicities and marginalized professions. It is a melting pot of housing, industry and commerce within a small area.

In this diverse and faceted landscape, we propose a myriad of small solutions – small reductions in environmental impact that when summed up becomes significant, and when applied to the entire country becomes the way forward for true environmental friendliness.
